William McRaven
Former Commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command
McRaven served for 37 years as a Navy SEAL and was commander of U.S. Special Operations. He is the primary author of the government’s 2006 National Strategy for Combating Terrorism and has advised the U.S. secretary of defense, secretary of state and secretary of homeland security. McRaven also served as chancellor of the University of Texas System from 2015 to 2018.
