Trevino is a founding member, past president and current vice president of Texans Advocating for Meaningful Test Assessment. In 2016, she served as a governor appointee to the Texas Commission of Next Generation of Assessment and Accountability. Previously, Trevino worked in private practice and at the Dallas Child Guidance Clinic, where she testified on behalf of the most severe child abuse cases in Dallas County.
