Susana Martinez
Former Governor of New Mexico
Martinez was first elected governor of New Mexico in 2010, becoming the state’s first female governor and the first Hispanic female governor in U.S. history. During her tenure, she prioritized public safety, education reforms to improve student learning and diversifying and growing the state’s economy. Previously, Martinez spent 25 years as a prosecutor along the nation’s southern border and served as district attorney for New Mexico’s Doña Ana County.
