Munisteri began serving as a senior adviser to U.S. Senator John Cornyn’s 2020 reelection campaign in February. Previously, he spent two years as principal deputy director of the Office of Public Liaison and as deputy assistant to President Donald Trump in the White House. Munisteri also worked as an aide to former Republican National Committee chair Reince Priebus and as chair of the Texas Republican Party from 2010 to 2015.
