Watts is the founder of Moms Demand Action and an active board member of Emerge America, an organization aimed at recruiting and training women to run for office. Previously, she was a stay-at-home mom until she started a Facebook group after the Sandy Hook shooting that turned into a grassroots movement for public safety measures that protect people from gun violence. Watts has also worked as a communications executive.
