Khator joined the University of Houston System in 2008. As chancellor, she oversees a four-university system of nearly 74,000 students. She also serves as board chair for the American Athletic Conference. Previously, Khator served as board chair for the American Council on Education and worked as provost and senior vice president at the University of South Florida.
