Hannah-Jones is an award-winning staff writer and domestic correspondent for The New York Times Magazine focusing on racial injustice. She investigates the way racial segregation in housing and schools is maintained through official action and policy and was the author behind the Times’ “The 1619 Project.” In 2016, Hannah-Jones co-founded the Ida B. Wells Society for Investigative Reporting, a training and mentorship organization dedicated to increasing the ranks of investigative reporters of color.
