Garcia began as executive director of the Texas Democratic Party in early 2019 after serving as the party’s deputy director for four years. He also has served as the party’s communications director. Previously, Garcia worked as director of policy for the Texas House’s Mexican American Legislative Caucus and served in various political, policy and communications roles for state Rep. Trey Martinez Fischer.
