Ryan was first appointed to the Texas Transportation Commission by Gov. Greg Abbott in 2016 and was confirmed for a full six-year term in 2017. She has 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, worked at Gulf States Toyota Inc. and served as chair of the board of the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. Ryan is also the CEO of Purdy Motors USA, Costa Rica’s exclusive Toyota distributor.
