President of Families Against Mandatory Minimums
Ring became president of Families Against Mandatory Minimums in 2017 after serving as the group’s vice president and director of strategic initiatives. Previously, Ring worked as a lobbyist in Washington, D.C. He spent 20 months in federal prison after he was indicted in 2008 on public corruption charges as part of the Jack Abramoff lobbyist scandal. Ring is also the editor of “Scalia’s Court: A Legacy of Landmark Opinions and Dissents.”
