Moody, D-El Paso, has represented House District 78 since 2009. He currently serves as speaker pro tempore of the Texas House and as vice chair of the House Calendars Committee. He also sits on the Business & Industry, Criminal Jurisprudence and Redistricting committees. Previously, Moody served as a prosecutor in the El Paso County district attorney’s office.
