Chambers has served as superintendent of Alief ISD since 2011.  In 2013, he helped the Texas House develop House Bill 5, which revamped the state’s curriculum and graduation requirements. Chambers also helped the House develop HB 22, which reformed the state’s A-F school rating system, in 2017. Previously, Chambers served as superintendent for Stafford Municipal School District.
