Frederick joined Connected Nation Inc., a national nonprofit working to expand access, adoption and use of broadband technology, in 2011. In 2018, he facilitated the Michigan Consortium of Advanced Networks (MCAN) and was the principal author of the Michigan Broadband Roadmap published by MCAN. Frederick also serves on the education committee for the American Planning Association and co-leads the digital inclusion taskforce as part of the association’s Technology Division.
