Lucio, D-Brownsville, has represented House District 38 since 2007. He serves as chair of the House Insurance Committee and sits on the Public Health Committee. In the 85th legislative session, he authored House Bill 2107, which aimed to legalize medical marijuana for patients with certain debilitating conditions. Lucio is a small business owner and has a law practice in the Rio Grande Valley.
