Brinkley is a professor of history at Rice University, presidential historian for CNN and a contributing editor at Vanity Fair and Audubon. He is the author of several award-winning books, including "The Great Deluge" and "Cronkite." Brinkley also served as editor of "The Reagan Diaries."
