Hulse is the chief Washington correspondent for The New York Times, where he also writes the column On Washington, which chronicles developments in the capital. Previously, he served as the Times’ Washington editor as well as its chief congressional correspondent. Hulse is the author of "Confirmation Bias," which looks into judicial confirmations and the resulting political arguments in Washington.
