Harmon joined the Tribune in 2017 as the investigative and projects editor. He started his reporting career in the Rio Grande Valley at The (McAllen) Monitor, covering health care and the environment. After a short stint at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, he returned to Austin and spent 18 years at the Austin American-Statesman as a beat reporter, assistant metro editor and investigative reporter.
