Hanna Liubakova
Outriders Journalist
Belarus
I am a broadcast journalist and researcher from Belarus, with skills in data-driven and open source investigations, multimedia content and community management. Excited about current affairs and politics, I also gathered field expertise around Eastern Europe, private sector, real estate, environment, energy, media and tech.
I started my career at the only independent Belarusian TV channel Belsat, where I worked as a correspondent from London, Prague, Vilnius, Warsaw and the EU Parliament in Brussels, among others. I later moved on to work as an investigative journalist, focusing on financial and money laundering issues. Highlights of my work include exposing state-level corruption in infrastructure in Belarus and reporting on money laundering in the London real estate market, with a focus on post-Soviet countries.
I was a recipient of the prestigious Vaclav Havel Fellowship at Radio Free Europe, as well as the Nordic Council international scholarship. In my academic research, I focus on monitoring and analysing Russian disinformation tools, and measuring their reach and effectiveness.
