Lead storyteller about the students, teachers, schools and communities served by rigorous, evidence-based STEM training programs provided by The National Math and Science Initiative, a Dallas-based nonprofit with a presence in 40 states. Our mission is to ensure all students, especially those furthest from opportunities, reach their highest potential. NMSI’s CEO is former astronaut Bernard Harris, the first African American to complete a spacewalk. For most of my career, I’ve been a journalist, including as an editor at The Dallas Morning News and freelancing for American and European publications. I also was a partner at Good Cause Creative, a marketing and communications agency serving nonprofits and mission-driven businesses.
